On Saturday evening 28th October 2023, Green Martinstown hosted its third Supper Evening at the Village hall.
Our guest speaker this year was John Calder of the Dorset Climate Action Network. John is Project Manager for the Great Big Dorset Hedge and he spoke about the project and its success. Over the last year the project has grown hugely across Dorset with 175 volunteers surveying hedges along public ways and now increasingly, with across farm surveys. The Sustainable Farming Incentive will reward farmers who have hedges surveyed and in good condition and the survey is seen as one of the most likely sources of tree planting, that does not impinge on agricultural land.

The supper evening was a great success and once again the food was exemplary, the music beautiful and the company wonderful! Many thanks to all who helped make the evening such a success.
